About the Role
The Respite Coordinator at District 360 plays a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through the management and delivery of STA and respite services. This position demands a blend of project management expertise, creativity, and excellent communication skills to oversee the development and execution of engaging programs. The Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with marketing teams, ensuring logistical efficiency, and gathering insightful feedback to continually improve services. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Program Development: Design and implement a variety of STA and respite programs tailored to the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring all activities are inclusive and accessible.
Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to maximize the impact of respite services, maintaining a high standard of care and support throughout all programs.
Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate program delivery and enhance service offerings.
Participant Engagement: Develop strong relationships with participants and their families, gathering feedback to ensure services meet their expectations and adapt to changing needs.
Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate records of all respite activities, participant information, and feedback, ensuring compliance with NDIS requirements and organizational policies.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess program effectiveness, legistlation updates and explore new approaches to enhance the quality and reach of STA/respite services.
Reporting and Evaluation: Provide regular updates to the CEO and other stakeholders on program outcomes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background: Certification in project management or disability services is highly advantageous.
Professional Experience: Ideally minimum of 2 years of experience in managing events or projects.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment that values diversity and collaboration.
Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in coordinating multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including participants, families, and industry professionals.
Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of NDIS requirements and guidelines, with the ability to ensure all programs comply with relevant standards and best practices or willingness to learn.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven experience in identifying issues and implementing creative solutions to enhance program effectiveness and participant satisfaction.
